DIRECTIVES OF RECOMMENDING A CANDIDATE FOR MISSIONARY LICENSING

There are two categories of recommendation of a Candidate who is saved, sanctified, and Holy Ghost filled with the evidence of speaking in tongue and after 2 years at the present home church with pastoral observation:
-
Deaconess Missionaries are women who have been observed by her Pastor for a minimum of 2 years, are saved, sanctified, and Holy Ghost filled with the evidence of speaking tongue, and whose ministry involvement is within her local church. However, periodically, with the permission of her pastor, her ministry may be extended beyond the local church, in which case, an Evangelist Missionary must always accompany her. She must study the Word of God, seek training through Institute classes, Bible Studies, college, etc. This level of preparation will equip her for effective ministry. After a minimum of two years of dedicated service as a Licensed Deaconess Missionary, she may then become a Candidate for the Evangelist Missionary License (to attend the class) with the recommendation of her pastor. The role of a Deaconess Missionary is not to be confused with that of a Deaconess in the local church.
The Deaconess Missionary Candidate Pre-Requisites:
-
She must be saved, sanctified, and Holy Ghost filled with the evidence of speaking tongue.
-
She must be recommended by her pastor after 2 years of his observing her
-
She must attend The Jurisdictional Department of Women’s School of Licensing and Credentialing to complete the full mandated Course of Study (orientation and every class - schedule of class months will be given to her at the first/orientation class)
-
She will complete the pre-requisite background check and the pre-requisite on-line Ethics Training before proceeding to the written and oral examination after the full course is completed.
-
Evangelist Missionaries are women who have been observed by her Pastor for a minimum of 2 years as a Deaconess Missionary and are saved, sanctified, and Holy Ghost filled with the evidence of speaking tongue, qualified, and available to minister beyond the local church. Her experience and knowledge should enable her to effectively, and accurately, proclaim the Word of God in soul-winning crusades and wherever a door of opportunity is opened.
Evangelist Missionary Candidate Pre-Requisites:

-
She must have a Church Of God In Christ Deaconess Missionary License for a minimum of 2 years
-
She will attend The Jurisdictional Department of Women’s School of Licensing and Credentialing to complete the full mandated Course of Study (orientation and all classes - schedule of class months will be given to her at the first/orientation class)
-
She will complete the pre-requisite background check and the pre-requisite on-line Ethics Training before proceeding to the written and oral examination after the full course is completed.
Please note that the Evangelist License is deferred for those Candidates with children aged nine (9) and under; however, they do qualify for Deaconess License.
The International Department of Women Licensing Procedure for Missionaries is now internationally standardized, and nothing can be omitted or changed (additions are encouraged) as these licenses are through the International not the Jurisdictional church. All requirements, including attendance at every class, must be adhered to in order to proceed to the examinations. The Candidate must enter the course after adjusting her personal calendar and schedule because there are not make-up classes. If the Candidate misses a class, she will wait until the next year to make it up before proceeding to the examining, licensing, and certification. The Cost of Registration includes the Curriculum Guide, any class handouts, IDOW Missionary Training and Washington State Jurisdiction Department of Women training/licensing/certifying paperwork process (not to include her individual International Fees).
